Description

Core Program:  Leadership & Service

This award recognizes programs that build leadership skills to enable youth to lead and give back to others. These programs give youth the confidence and abilities to create meaningful change in their Clubs and communities.

Core Program:  Education

This award recognizes programs that complement and reinforce what youth learn during the school day by providing opportunities to practice skills for academic and post-secondary success. These programs allow youth to practice, plan and prepare for their futures.

Core Program:  Arts

This award recognizes programs that encourage imagination and self-expression while helping youth to develop knowledge and understanding of specific art forms (digital, fine, applied and performing arts).

Core Program:  Sports & Recreation

This award recognizes programs that develop positive attitudes toward physical health and healthy eating by providing low-risk settings for members to explore moving their bodies and eating healthy foods.

Core Program:  Health & Wellness

This award recognizes programs that focus on building the physical, social and emotional wellness of youth. These programs provide opportunities for youth to practice skills for building healthy relationships, regulating emotions, decision-making and solving problems.

Youth Trends:  Workforce Readiness

The Youth Trends category will change every three years. It focuses on key trends and priorities for youth. The focus for the next three years is workforce readiness. This award recognizes programs that help youth of all ages build the social-emotional skills that are necessary for successful careers and that expose youth to a variety of career opportunities in which teens have access to work-based learning experiences.

Teens

This award recognizes programs that focus on teens. This demographic is an integral part of Club leadership and programming. This award recognizes Clubs that provide programming for teens that is relevant, engaging and provides exceptional value for teens.

Youth Development Professional Learning & Development

Coaching, training and on-the-job learning are critical to giving Club members the highest quality experience. This award recognizes Clubs that consistently provide high-quality, professional development for frontline staff that is relevant, engaging and inclusive.
